Friday nights in Rishon

I have really come to love Fridays in Israel.  As everything in closed on Shabbat (supermarkets and public transport included), Friday is a fairly busy day.  People are rushing around to get all their Shabbat shopping done and cafes are fairly busy with people spilling out onto the streets drinking coffee and eating pastries.  There is a real buzz around town which I've come to look forward to.

So in true Shabbat style, last night started with Shabbat dinner at one of the apartments.  I've been to so many Shabbat dinners now I think I have finally learnt how to pace myself and only over-eat a smidge.  My downfall is usually desserts though as I always get way too excited at the main meal and forget to leave enough room:

And then to really bring Shabbat in, we went dancing at one of the smaller night clubs in Rishon! I guess my Nana days are over with two nights in a row going out.  Legit party animal right here.

Now for Shabbat - a God condoned and required day of TV, napping and baking.

Shabbat Shalom all :)
